As the Ligue 1 season draws in its final few weeks of excitement and drama, only two sides can look back at their seasons with pride and valor. For PSG, it’s back to the drawing board.

In the second leg of the UCL quarters, Mbappé shone through (again) for Monaco, Ronaldo reached 100 for Madrid in a game crowded by refereeing errors, and Leicester bowed out with pride.

AS Monaco have finally toppled Ligue 1, after impressing throughout this entire rather competitive Ligue 1 season. As only one win separates the mid-table team from the relegation fighters, the season is at its crunch point.

Ligue 1 produced some fantastic football in week 8; so much so that it became increasingly more of a Sisyphean task to pick out the best game. Fear not, though, eventually we found a winner, and turns out it’s the same one that was featured in our last column. All hail AS Monaco!
