EA Sports FIFA Team of the Week: Our predictions

First of all, this is something that we’ve decided to start doing due to the immense number of people that use the team of the week to make a bit of a profit in FIFA Ultimate Team. Although obviously not the official list, this is a list of the players that we think will make it into the team of the week(the edition that’s going to come out this week). Starting out with the strikers, some names that might be worth investing in are Aubameyang, Suarez, Aduriz, Cyril Thereau (Udinese), Vardy, and Lukaku. Of all of them, Suarez is the most unlikely to make it as he already got a team of the week upgrade during the past week. I’d say pick up all of them, but if you have to drop one, don’t invest in Lukaku. Aubameyang, Vardy and Aduriz have a really high chance of featuring so they are a must have.

Next let’s move to the outside midfielders/ wingers position in which our first candidate is FC Barcelona’s Neymar Jr. He was a-mazing in their match against Sociedad, and there is a, I would say, 99.99% chance that he’s going to be featured in the TOTW. Also in similar position is an American player named Fabian Johnson, who played two great games for Gladbach in the Bundesliga as well as the Champions League. Angel Di Maria is also a lucrative option as he is having a fantastic debut season with PSG, especially with the stellar performances this weekend and in the midweek Champions League fixture against Malmo last week. If, however, you are all about Yannick Bolasie, he had a fantastic performance for Crystal Palace this weekend in the Prem, in which he scored two goals while being involved in almost every other. M’Baye Niang of AC Milan is a player that you (yes, even you) have probably never heard of. He is a certain feature in the TOTW as he scored two goals in Milan’s win against Sampdoria in his first start for the club.

Now, it’s time for the centre of midfield. Fabian Delph had a good game against Southampton in his first ever match as a starter for Man City, which means he will almost certainly be in there, along with Mesut Ozil. The Gunner has been really on top of his game lately, putting in two performances(weekend and CL) that have silenced the critics who were doubting his importance to Arsenal.

The defence will likely consist of players that had better than average performances, as there were no standout defender this weekend, in my opinion. So, you could invest in the likes of Kurt Zouma in the center, while I would heavily suggest investing in Layvin Kurzawa of PSG and Dani Alves since both of them had extraordinary performances for their clubs. Kurzawa looks set to be France’s first-choice left-back for a long time if he keeps on putting in performances like those.
