Chelsea: Is this slick Brazilian midfielder on his way out?

Oscar’s Chelsea future has been cast into serious doubt, after rumours linking him with a loan and potentially permanent move to Milan surfaced the Italian media. According to reports from CMW, AC Milan is very interested in securing a loan move for the Brazilian international.

The midfielder only played a bit-part role last season, making 31 total appearances in all competitions. His time as a Chelsea player has been marked with some joy, and some shakiness. There have been instances when he’s been simply sensational throughout, his performance against Juventus in a 2-2 draw in the Champions League comes to mind. But, for the most part, the player’s looked a glimpse of his slowly deteriorating potential.

Most blamed the player’s constant involvement in games and lack of proper rest in almost 2 years, while others sought out his niggling injuries when he was fully rested at the start of this past season. Early comparisons of the playmaker with fellow countryman and a footballing legend, Kaka, seemed almost laughable during parts of last season, as the Brazilian ended the campaign with 6 goals and 3 assists in all competitions. However, it is to be believed that he will thrive under Antonio Conte should he be given a proper chance, seeing as he’s had plenty of rest this summer, secluding himself of the scandalous exit of his country from Copa America.

Rumours from CalcioMercato, however, suggest a different path for the Brazilian’s future. Milan officials are said to have flown to Stamford Bridge in attempts to secure a deal for the Brazilian, and they’re willing to part with €5 million for a loan move. However, it is also reported that the Italians are also contesting inserting a clause into their offer, which would make the move permanent for an additional €35 million.
