Chelsea: French midfielder heavily pursued, Felipe Anderson considered if Cuadrado leaves, & Mou plans raid on former star

Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante, according to reports from the Telegraph.

Chinese club Shanghai SIPG were rumoured to have offered £35 million, which is much more than the £20 million release clause inserted into Kante’s contract. This, obviously, has grabbed the attention of the Londoners, and they will not want to lose out on one of the hottest properties in world football to a club few would pride themselves in knowing the name of.

Leicester have decided that they will try and stop all this madness by tying Kante up to a new and much improved contract, which will have a more than significant increase in wages than the Foxes’ previous offer.

However, according to some reports, Kante will reject that offer, as his heart is set on a move to Stamford Bridge.

So get ready Chelsea fans…

Felipe Anderson, the hot-prospect at age 21 and newly turned ‘disappointment’, is also on Chelsea’s radar lately, after a campaign with Lazio that was devastatingly similar to the Blues’ own.

It is being heavily rumoured that Chelsea are surprisingly the favorites to land the Brazilian as he is very eager to leave the Italian Serie A.

Speaking of players wanting to leave, it seems that Cesc Fabregas has his heart shaken by a cordial invitation to join his former boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, according to the Mirror. The gifted Spaniard is unsure where he fits in with the Blues, as Conte is rumoured to be exploring the possibility of playing a 4-2-4 system, and we all know how well Cesc will do operating in that role.

More importantly, however, Cesc is uncertain over his future due to the influx of new midfielders being linked to Chelsea, with the likes of the aforementioned Kante, Conte’s favorite Joao Mario, Belgium’s I-will-not-move-from-Italy Nainggolan, and, of course, Paul Pogba, all being reported as being potential new arrivals at the Stamford Bridge club.
